CompTIA A+ certification is earned by passing a set of two exams – created by IT industry professionals – that validate skills needed for entry-level IT jobs. In this program, you will have opportunities to obtain below certificates.

Comp176 – IT Fundamentals

In this course, the student will be prepared for the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification exam. Through hands-on practice, lectures, and discussions, the student will gain the essential IT skills and knowledge needed to perform tasks commonly performed by entry-level IT professionals, including: Using features and functions of common operating systems and establishing network connectivity, Identifying common software applications and their purpose, Using security and web browsing best practices.

Comp666 - Network +

The Network Plus component of this program, emphasizes building, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a network. This course of study prepares the student for the CompTIA Network plus certification. During this course, the student will get the opportunity to build their own network cable, topics include: topologies, wiring, architectures, devices, network operating systems, security, Internet technologies, wireless, and troubleshooting.

Comp664 - Cloud +

The ITT Cloud computing program will prepare the student to complete the CompTIA cloud+ exam. The student will gain the knowledge required through hands-on labs, use of lectures, and video presentations to understand standard cloud methodologies, implement, maintain and deliver cloud technologies e.g., network, storage and virtualization technologies, understand aspects of IT security and use industry best practices related to cloud implementations.

In this course, the student will be prepared to complete the CompTIA Server+ certification. The student will gain the necessary knowledge required through hands-on labs, use of lectures, and video presentations to build, maintain, troubleshoot, secure and support server hardware and software technologies, including virtualization, identify environmental issues, understand and comply with disaster recovery and general security procedures. The student will also gain knowledge with industry terminology and concepts, understand server roles and their interaction in a dynamic com- puting environment.

Comp675 - A+ Core Computer Repair

In this course, the student will be prepared for the CompTIA A Plus certification. The student will master the skills required using a combination of lectures, discussions, assignments, lab work, and hands-on practice. Students completely dismantle a computer and then proceed to restore the computer. Topics covered include mother boards,expansion cards, storage options, networks, security, and printers.

Comp550 - Security+

The focus of this course will be to prepare

the students for achieving their CompTIA Security Plus certification. The student will gain an excellent knowledge of security procedures through the use of lectures, video presentations, hands-on labs, and troubleshooting exercises. We will discuss current security issues and how to use that knowledge to aid their users and companies in protecting the data and processes that are used on a daily basis.

Comp676 - A+ Operating Systems

This course is a hands-on computer course designed to provide the student with a thorough knowledge of current computer terminology, troubleshooting strategies, OSInstallation and Maintenance, and customer service. Upon completion of these two courses, the students will be prepared to complete their certification examination for A+ certifications noted above.

Comp575 - Cisco Certified Network Associate

This course is a hands-on computer course designed to provide the student with a thorough knowledge of Cisco computer terminology, set up techniques and trouble- shooting strategies. Emphasis is placed on dealing with switches and routers, configuring Cisco IOS, subnetting techniques, protecting Cisco devices, routing techniques, and VLANs and Trunking.

Bus100 - Career Strategies

Taught by our professionals in Graduate Employment Services, this course is designed to train students to research and how to obtain their desired career goals. Topics covered include: current employer expecta- tions in the selection process, winning resume styles, interview skills and techniques, and successful strategies to develop and conduct their personal career search.

Students that successfully complete all required program materials will benefit from a paid/unpaid field placement for practical experience. Although the school will provide you with such a placement, we encourage students to assist in identifying placement opportunities in fields or locations of specific interest. Students may need to participate in field placements that are within a reasonable distance to the College. Travel costs are the responsibility of the student. The College has partnered with several businesses throughout the Great Toronto Area to have a variety of settings available for our students to complete their placements.
